Conclusion

            I hope that you have enjoyed reading through my Illustrator’s Study. I thoroughly enjoyed researching my two chosen illustrator’s – Sophie Blackall and Quentin Blake. They were already two of my all-time favorite children’s book illustrators and after doing this assignment, they are even more important to me. They truly understand how to make a book for children. They know what images to draw and paint to pair perfectly with the words. Their styles are so different and yet their ability to engage children is the same. In the future, I will take what I’ve learned from this study and apply a critical eye to all children’s book illustrations. Can anyone possibly match Blackall’s and Blake’s abilities? That is the question.
